It is designed to support business intelligencei.e. to provide organisations with valuable information for their strategic decision-making and planning.

Data warehouse in short:

  • It collects data from various sources, for example from a transactional database, CRM, ERP, external systems, etc.
  • Data obtained cleans, removes duplicates, transforms and edits them into a common format.
  • Stores data in structured format.
  • Creates a history of data for future trend and development analysis.
  • Provided by tools and mechanisms for data analysis.
